The Design

“A refreshing mix of romantic and rustic.”

Jennifer Evans designed this piece with her characteristic mix of romantic and rustic. The vintage smocked lace stitch is easier than it looks. And the simple rectangular shape can be worn as a poncho, a large cowl, or simply a scarf. The shrug, seamed into sleeves, drapes across your shoulders and stays in place with no fuss. Wear it over a pretty dress, or jeans and a T-shirt.

KNITTER'S NOTES
One of our favorite things about this wrap is its versatility—in fact the shrug was born out of some creative musing one afternoon in the shop. We've shown it styled several ways on our pattern, but we ran out of room. Wouldn't it be great buttoned into a sleeve on one side, with the other half pinned over the same shoulder—sort of an asymmetrical wrap! Or folded and buttoned into a cozy cowl. Be sure to experiment with your wrap to see what you like.
