The Design
“Mesmerizing texture, stunning color.”
A few fascinating elements blend together to make this simple scarf mesmerizing! In this free pattern, we chose a brilliant, variegated yarn and then knit it up in the delicious texture of seed stitch. The ‘bumps’ of this stitch pattern blur the colors together for a dreamy, watercolor effect. We used slipped stitches at the edges for a nice, tidy finish!
We knit the Seed Stitch Scarf in Manos del Uruguay’s marvelous, lace-weight . A single ply of 100% superwash merino, Marina’s softness is spectacular and it carries its space-dyed color—from soft, tonal shifts to complementary contrasts—beautifully. We love how those gentle variegations show up in this scarf’s seed stitch!
