Knitting pattern for Flora bandana

Flora Bandana is a lovely small scarf, perfect for adding a stylish touch and keeping you warm during transitional weather or indoors. It’s easy to style, and the delicate lace pattern drapes beautifully around the neck. The scarf is knitted asymmetrically with fine edges, and you can knit it to the exact size you want, simply binding off when you reach the desired length.

Knit it in Önling No. 20 combined with Önling No. 10, or in Önling No. 18 combined with Önling No. 10, or in Önling No. 1 — or in that that gorgeous hand-dyed yarn you couldn’t resist buying.

Designed by Inge-Lis Holst for Önling

Recommended needles: 5 mm (US 8) circular needles, 80 cm / 32 inches length

Procedure: The scarf is knitted back and forth in garter stitch, with lace patterns leaning to the left, a section of stockinette stitch, and lace patterns leaning to the right. Increases and decreases are made on one row, and increases at the end of the next row, creating the asymmetrical shape.

You can choose to knit the shawl in stripes to highlight the delicate pattern, or keep it simple in just one color.
